The Serpentine, Pavilion

This years Pavilion was a cafe designed to fit into the environment without damaging the landscape in Hyde park and  to interact with the people visiting it. As a visitor, I was able to explore the structure as if it were a jungle gym in a play area. As a viewer, I was able to enjoy how the idea of geology was used. The structure itself reminded me of a work my Ellen Gallagher, where she uses white poles decorated with patterns inspired by oceanology.
